The votes are in for a meeting topic and it looks like planning/starting digitization projects is it! Whether it be creating an online site with all of your stuff publicly accessible, joining the Alaska’s Digital Archives, or just creating a small site with some online curated exhibits of material, what’s it take? Which will work best for you? What do you need to do to start a project like this? What do you need to have? How much will it cost? How much time will it take? How do you convince stakeholders (users, funders) to support it appropriately? (How do you explain to people that digitizing everything might not be the best option?) What kind of rights issues do you need to be worried about? And anything else you can come up with.
So with that in mind, next up a poll for the time and date of the meeting. Please vote by Friday, January 11, end of day. The time slot with the most votes will be the time slot chosen and the announcement for that will come out Monday, January 14th.
